Car Door Lock Cylinder Replacement
A door lock cylinder is the tumbler inside the door that the key is used to unlock. They are usually found in older models of vehicle, and since central locking has been widely used, most vehicles not longer require these as the main form of unlocking a vehicle.
There are normally 2 in a car, one on the drivers, and one on the passengers side doors. As these are used regular they can wear out and fail.
How can I tell if it's broken?
The way to tell if it is the door lock cylinder that is broken, is if only one of your doors will not open by using the key. If more won't open then it could either be the key, or the central locking system.
Don't worry, we fix both door lock cylinders and central locking systems, just give us a call and we'd be happy to help.
